Great Rock and Roll Pauses
Chapter twelve begins with a specified order of where the main events happen. Alison, Sasha's daughter uses a power point diary to tell about two specific days in her life, May 14th and May 15th. She first talks about her family; she names her mom, Sasha, her dad, Drew, and her autistic brother, Lincoln. Starting after her brother game, she describes her mom and the her home. Once she begins talking about Lincoln, she also begins speaking about his, and sometimes her own, obsession with pauses in music. She describes different songs and their different pause lengths. Afterwards, she explains how her dad and Lincoln have a very dissonant relationship; they don't know how to communicate to one another. When Lincoln and her dad have an argument over his fixation with pauses, she and her dad go for a long walk. When they return her dad reconciles with Lincoln through the pause in the sounds around them.
